Hey there!

Welcome back to The Pulse, where we dive into interesting AI stories and trends backed by data, all presented through simple visuals.

Top news pick: OpenAI’s roadmap update on GPT-4.5 & GPT-5

Sam Altman, in a tweet, gave us two big updates. GPT-4.5 will be OpenAI’s last model without chain-of-thought, and then GPT-5 will combine their GPT and o-series tech into one system. The system will integrate o3 instead of a being separate release. These unified models will have everything built in - voice, canvas, search, deep research. Altman says we should see both models in the coming weeks or months. 🥳

* everyone gets free unlimited access to GPT-5 at standard intelligence, while Plus and Pro users get higher intelligence levels.
